Nuits de la Fondation Maeght volume I
Recommended Records (London) RR 11 (12S 45 rpm long play LP )
The hand printed trifold cover which folds into a pocket for the record is Mint(-) with no shelf wear...this is amazing considering it is textured black with silver paint and gold flourishes. The inside has heiroglyphs (from the pyramid of King Wenis-3rd Century) in gold, and a silver on blue paste-on banner with the translation of the heiroglyphs. The cover was designed and printed by Grahan Keatley. A spectacular job. There are no tears, rubs or abrasions.
The record has no scratches, abrasions or marks. The custom labels are clean, under the brightest light if you turn it slightlty you can see one miniscule spindle line...almost invisible due to the texture of the label. The sound at 45 rpm is amazing...crisp clear and dynamic. I would call this near mint plus because it has been played but it plays in exceptional fashion...no noise.
The recording was engineered by Claude Jauvert at the concerts in St Paul de Vence, Frande in 1970
