Description

This auction is for an ultra-rare original copy of Universe in Blue from Sun Ra And His Blue Universe Arkestra (El Saturn Records – ESR 200, 1972). There are many re-issues of this and numerous other Sun Ra albums, but this is an original. The front and back covers as well as the blue El Saturn label are shown in the auction photos.

I have rated both the cover and the record as VG+ under Goldmine standards. Cover has no rips, tears, splits, writing or markings. The same applies to the vinyl labels. Cover spine has some wear and there is slight ring wear on the back cover. Overall this is an extremely clean cover for its age and rarity.

Record surface is clean. Before this auction was listed, the record was cleaned with a VPI machine and re-sleeved in a new Mobile Fidelity Original Master Sleeve.

Record ships in a well-packaged cardboard record mailer. Services such as insurance and delivery confirmation can be added at buyer's request (and expense).
