Saturn Records 87976, recorded July 1976. 2-LP set. Jacket is two generic white cardboard jackets taped together. Both discs are in top shape given their origins, play as new. Labels on three of the four sides have been hand-colored in magic marker. Jacket has someone’s notations about solo sequence, provenance, etc written in ballpoint pen. This is one of over 200 LPs being consigned on auction weekly between now and Spring 2007 from the well-kept and thorough collection of the late sculptor Bradford Graves, a key participant in the operations of New York performance space Soundscape. The collection ranges from Art Blakey to Han Bennink, with especially strong showings of Saturn, FMP, ICP, and US private pressings from the early Seventies. Some prizes and surprises in every batch.
