Saturn Records (“Intergalactic II”, according to jacket) IR522, recorded July 1976. 2-Lp set. Disc and label are as new, no flaws. Jacket has absorbed some fingerprints; otherwise only a small circle of price-sticker discoloration in top left of photo, and owner’s acquisition date ( top left of back cover) are noteworthy. This is one of over 200 LPs being consigned on auction weekly between now and Spring 2007 from the well-kept and thorough collection of the late sculptor Bradford Graves, a key participant in the operations of New York performance space Soundscape. The collection ranges from Art Blakey to Han Bennink, with especially strong showings of Saturn, FMP, ICP, and US private pressings from the early Seventies. Some prizes and surprises in every batch.
