Any other information: An early LP from the eccentric genius Sun Ra, recorded around 1956 with his Arkestra for the small Transition label and originally issued as Jazz By Sun Ra, including John Gilmiore and Pat Patrick on saxes and trombonist Julian Priester. This is a mono UK pressing of the Delmark LP, which used a USA-manufactured sleeve. There are a few small marks here and there- we play tested the LP and these marks do not cause any major issues, it plays very nicely. 4.5 star user rating on Allmusic: "arguably the most accessible work in the Sun Ra catalog, as well as one of the most thoroughly and repeatedly listenable."

Our Grading System
Please note that we use our own grading system which is more nuanced than the standard system. If there is anything you do not understand then please let us know. All our items have been visually graded beneath a down-facing halogen lamp. We have found that this has proven extremely effective. For higher value items, we give them a further audible play-grading.
