Sunnyboys ORIG OZ ST LP VG+ '81 Mushroom L37696 Alt Rock Post Punk


Original OZ LP released in 1981 on Mushroom Records. Cat: L37696. Comes with printed inner bag which ahs age marks and spots and is in VG+ condition.
The 1981 eponymous debut LP by Sydney's fabulous Sunnyboys was an example of how the Australian scene was shining a light for independent rock music in the early eighties. The album delivers perfect slices of melodic powerpop and the ostensible simplicity of the songs and lyrics are actually underpinned by complex guitar patterns and soulful, angsty, yet mature lyrics. This album triggered an all too brief sense of real excitement around the band and it certainly qualifies for consideration as one of the most important alternative pop records of the era.

  There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and a few very light scratches that cause some light crackles and is in VG+ condition. Cover has some light marks and tiny surface tears along right hand edge and is in VG+ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
