Description
Formerly the group "Legend”, "Dragonfly is another one of the late 60s San Francisco bands but is not typical west coast acid rock. It is much heavier but is a great psych LP.
This LP released on the small megaphone label is now quite rare and getting very difficult to find a NM copy of the vinyl. This copy looks and plays perfectly. There are no spindle marks on the label and by looking you cannot tell it was ever played.
LP - Looking at the LP under bright light I can not see any marks at all. The LP looks and sounds brand new.
Cover - The cover shows minor wear for it's age. A couple of corner scrapes, no ring wear
Label - Is as clean as the rest of the LP and by looking at the label you can't tell it was ever played.
Personal Note: I am the original owner of this record. I took the shrink-wrap off. I played it one time on one of my, now vintage, turntables. I didn’t care for it much. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood. I put it on the shelf where it’s sat for 35+ years. I mention this because, despite it’s excellent condition, the surface should be deep cleaned prior to playing.
The cover has some wear because I’ve moved several times over the years. The spine has the most wear. I’ve tried to show this in a photograph. The Front, Back, and inside are much better. The photos I took seem to show that the middle is shiny and the edges are dull. This is not so. The entire surface is shiny. My photo skills are not the best.
You will see some streaking near the bottom edge of the cover. I think that’s always been there. Perhaps a flaw in the printing?
My Turntables
Micro Seiki DD-40 / Shure SME Type 3 Improved Tonearm / Shure Type IV Tracker
Denon DP-1250 / Infinity Black Widow Graphite Tonearm / Micro Acoustics 2002E
Micro Seiki DD-31 / Factory Arm / ADC XLM
All my Turntables are setup using a Dennessen Aluminum Protractor and Shure Stylus Gauge. I use an Audio-Technica cleaning arm, with a roller and brush, on my active turntable. I lower it first so it cleans ahead of the tonearm.
I clean my records prior to playing using Discwasher and ZeroStat.
