Super Rare Kaleidoscope - Beacon From Mars LP NM Original A1/A1 matrix

Welcome to Psych & Pstuff where I have been listing sealed Psych LPs until today. For my last 3 listings this week I chose to pick three insanely rare pieces of psych. All LPs are 1st issues and in NM condition. The three LPs today are Chocolate Watch Band - No Way Out, Kaleidoscope - Beacon From Mars and Tripsichord Music Box White Label Promo. Another incredibly rare LP to end this week's listing. This the US band Kaleidoscope, as opposed to the UK band of the same name. A Beacon From Mars is an absolute psych anthem from 1968.  Without a doubt the band's most sought after LP. The album has two long psych songs that really bring you back to the old tripping days. Other songs are blues oriented like their cover of "You Don't Love Me" and the Hot Tuna country blues styled Ballheaded End Of A Broom. Each are great song. If you have any Kaleidoscope LPs it needs to be this one where they truly hit their mark. A psych classic indeed. And this copy is in such wonderful condition. The Matrix number are 1A/1A. The earliest issue. It also comes with it's original Epic inner sleeve that does have a bit of tape, but it still fine.

LP - The vinyl is as clean as the day it was made and makes no noise during playback. I just got done listening to the entire album carefully. There are no marks on the vinyl either. Looks like it was never played.

Cover - The cover is also super clean but has only a few very minor issues, and I am being very picky here. The Bottom right corner has a very slight push. There are no seam splits. The spine show a bit of paper wrinkling at the bottom and a 1/4" piece of paper that came off somehow, but it is in clear space with no writing. Other than that it is fine. The spine is completely legible with just those few small issues. As I said, I am being very picky. Most people would simple say it is in NM condition, but because of these insignificant issues my rating is a conservative EX. The white is bright and the colors on the front are vibrant.

Label - The labels show no wear, no spider lines around the spindle holes. The spindle hole is still tight around the spindle and the LP looks like it was never played.  

So the overall rating for this LP is NM/EX. A must have for any psych collector.  Good luck and thanks. This is a no reserve auction. Check out all my sealed psych LPs also listed this week at the bottom of the listing.

There may be a few ticks or static between songs but still a very nice listen. The cover may also show a bit more wear or have a small seam opening, but still looks nice and clean. Since record grading is so subjectible to the sellers opinion, I wanted to give you my VG+ grading and what goes into calling it VG+. Thank you.

My grading system is M(only used on sealed LPs), NM, EX, VG+, VG, VG- and Good. LPs rated good will only be sold if they are very rare. I have been collecting and grading LPs for nearly 5 decades.
