This is a 3 LP radio concert series broadcast featuring portions of THE STEVE MILLER BAND recorded live in 1988/89 during his Born 2 B Blue tour.
Westwood One's 'Superstar Concert Series' was a 90-minute, weekly national radio show that was aired on radio stations in the US who paid for the broadcast subscription. These shows feature portions of professionally record concerts, and include national commercials.
For this tour, Miller's band included some of the guys who are on the album: early SMB keyboardist BEN SIDRAN, Minnesotans Gordy Knudtsen on drums and Billy Peterson on bass, plus Bobby Malach on sax, Keith Allen on guitar, and long-time SMB member Norton Buffalo on harmonica, keys & percussion.
This was Miller's first tour after several years of not performing live.
Each show was pressed on 3 audiophile vinyl LPs and pressed on high-quality translucent vinyl for superior sonics (hold it to a bright light and you can see through it).
