This was the last release they ever had on Sub Pop, even after having stints with at least 2 other labels at the time, and their own Mid-Fi Recordings label was to be launched the following year. It seems that Sub Pop wasn’t done making money off of these guys, and put out this collections of greatest hits, b-sides and unreleased material. And they did a hell of a job with it too. This is two records: Record 1 (“The Greats”) is the greatest hits from their 4 studio albums on Sub Pop. Record 2 (“The Gravy”) is a great collection of demos, b-sides, alternate versions, covers, and other hard to find rarities. Comes in a beautiful gatefold sleeve that has never been opened – it is still in the original shrink-wrap with the “dialog bubble” sticker on the front. The photo is kinda dark because the flash isn’t working on my camera – the colors are bright, crisp and unmarred in any way.

This is a beautiful copy, and in fantastic condition. The record grades to NM, with no sign of use. The cover also grades to NM with no sign of handling. This is one for the collectors, and is in impeccable condition. As a collector, I bought this new and have been the only owner – it has hardly ever been played, kept in protective sleeves for its whole life, and handled with care.
