LP Released in 1997

Their first official foray into the world of country music, and we all know that they never looked back.  Using the stripped down qualities of their approach to rock, they bring three-chord acoustic country music into a similar realm of part story-teller and part story-maker.  This became a collector’s item almost as soon as it was released, and is rarely seen nowadays.  This is from the original and only pressing, and was their last studio release for Sub Pop.  Includes guest appearances by Willie Nelson, Kelley Deal (The Breeders) and the great underground rockabilly virtuoso Jesse Dayton (he’s worked with Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Willie, Waylon, Rob Zombie and more, as well as a pile of solo material).

This is a beautiful copy, and in fantastic condition. The record grades to NM, with no sign of use. The cover also grades to NM with no sign of handling.  This is one for the collectors, and is in impeccable condition. As a collector, I bought this new and have been the only owner – it has hardly ever been played, kept in protective sleeves for its whole life, and handled with care.
