Description
SUPERTRAMP - 'CRIME OF THE CENTURY'
1978 MFSL ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING LP
Beginning this week, I am listing a comprehensive & Near Mint collection of MFSL Original Master Recording LPs. All are the property of one collector who played them only once to transfer them to DAT and then carefully stored them away.
Original Master Recordings were manufactured by 'Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab' (MFSL). Each disc was half-speed-mastered from the original master tapes and pressed by the 'Victor Company of Japan' (JVC') on 'Super Vinyl'.
All are custom packaged in heavy-duty album jackets, supported by a rigid cardboard stiffener. The disc itself is protected within a unique static-free rice-paper inner-sleeve. All titles were limited editions and represent the finest sounding vinyl pressing of each title.
This title was one of the earliest released by MFSL in 1978 with the catalogue number: MFSL 1-005
Matrix numbers: MFSL-1-005-A & MFSL-1-005-B
Cutting Engineer initials in run-out: 'SR' (Stan Ricker)
CONDITION
Disc
Labels:EXCELLENT PLUS
A clean & bright pair with just a few light spindle trails to each centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate unmarked surfaces in strong daylight with only a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Play: NEAR MINT
Played no more than a handful of times by its original owner, this copy sounds 'as new' with no audible faults or wear or any kind throughout.
Sleeve
EXCELLENT
Very strong and clean with unworn panels. There is slight bruising to two corners & minor opening edge wear but no other signs of use.
