Supremes "Back In My Arms Again"C/W"Whisper You Love Me Boy"  1965 Tamla Motown Tmg 516

RECORD GROOVES CONDITION – BOTH SIDES VERY GOOD. SOME SURFACE WHISPY IN/OUT OF COVER MARKS BUT NO HEAVY SCRATCHES AND PLAYS LIKE A DREAM.

LABEL CONDITION – BOTH SIDES VERY GOOD PLUS, BUT NO CENTRE.

COVER CONDITION – PAPER SLEEVE INSIDE TITLED CARD COVER.

The Supremes

Profile:-American soul and R&B group, recording during the 1960s and 1970s. 

 Hugely successful female vocal group formed in 1961, after initially after being called The Primettes from 1959 to 1960. Their best-known and most stable lineup was Diana Ross, Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson, in which configuration they became Motown's top act of the 1960s, though of that line-up only Wilson remained in the group by the time of the 1970s disco incarnation represented here. 
The Supremes changed name in early 1967 to Diana Ross & The Supremes. Motown president Berry Gordy, stated that the name change was done so that Motown could demand more money from live bookings, but rumors began to spread of an approaching Diana Ross solo career.

At that time member Florence Ballard had begun drinking and occasionally missing performance and, by June 1967, was replaced by Cindy Birdsong, a member of Patti LaBelle & the Blue Bells.

In January 1970, Diana Ross & The Supremes gave their final performance and Ross began her solo career. Jean Terrell replaced Diana as the lead singer and thereby renaming the group back to The Supremes.

  • Mint - I will not grade Mint unless I am absolutely sure it has not been played
  • Mint Minus [N.M.] - Label and Vinyl looks perfect and plays perfect
  • Excellent - Vinyl has virtually no blemishes. Plays Perfect. Label may have a sticker.
  • VG plus - Has the odd superficial mark but plays without any surface noise or skips or crackles. Very close to Excellent. May have sticker
  • VG - Same as above but may have more marks. But still plays without skips or surface noise.
  • GOOD   more noticeable marks than a VG+ but has no skips or jumps. May have SLIGHT surface noise
