Description

Swans, The Burning World, Vinyl LP (1989). A bit of an outlier in the bands catalogue. Swans were best known for dark, industrial, experimental noise. So when the "acoustic folk", "world music rock with electronic shadings", and "dark Americana" of The Burning World was released, it took their audience by surprise. Co-produced by Swans main man Michael Gira and the legendary Bill Laswell, this album is Swans at their most accessible and song oriented. And like much of the Swans back catalogue it is scarce.
