Description
Sweet Oblivion - Screaming Trees (471724 1; 1992) in exceptional ("like new"?) condition. Purchased by myself on its release day (Sept 8th 1992).
There are re-issues of this album available on eBay but not many original copies.
And almost certainly none with what I had placed inside the sleeve all those years ago.
Screaming Trees toured the album and played dates in the UK early 1993. They played the Marquee, London on Jan 26th of that year. It was an awesome gig with an incident at the start of the gig leading to an intense evening. A couple of people had climbed on stage and then stage-dived off. Mark Lanegan was quite clearly annoyed by this, so when another person climbed on stage he snapped. Pushing the "intruder" to the back of the stage, he then head -butted him and pinned him by the throat to the metal cage that housed the PA before a roadie pulled him away and security removed the guy and the gig resumed. There was a barely concealed rage and annoyance in Lanegan's performance from this point and this was conveyed as the band thundered through every song, a brooding lead singer almost asking everyone in the crowd if they dare invade his space.

I kept the ticket stub.
Its signed by the band.
