Welcome to my auctions....The time has come to sell my huge record collection over the next weeks/months...so check out my other vinyl listed, more added each week.
I am a private collector, selling my collection, I am not a dealer.
Syd Barrett - Barrett - Green Harvest Labels - 1st UK Pressing...but a rare and unique transitional label error that makes this the RAREST Syd Barrett LP.
A standard 1st Press has no 'EMI' box logo on the record labels...these presses are very hard to come by as the record sold so poorly. A standard 2nd Press has an 'EMI' box logo on each side of the record label, again still hard to come by but slightly more common.
Well This Copy has The 1st press Matrix Numbers, 1st Press Mothers and 1st Press details (Same label layout and THE GRAMAPHONE CO.LTD text) But this copy has An 'EMI' box logo on Side 1 but NO 'EMI' Box logo on side 2. Now in all the years I've been collecting records I have never seen this LP with this label error, how such an early press was mistakenly given such a side 1 label is unknown but to Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd fans this is a one of a kind error and one of a kind Copy...The 1st presses hold a rarity value because there are only a few hundred (or maybe thousand) but This copy...There is just ONE....a truely unique chance to own a record that nobody else will have.

Side 1 has one faint hairline scratch and 2 or 3 even fainter hairlines, very slight sleeve removal marks , it has a great shine
Side 2 has a couple of very very faint hairlines/sleeve removal marks but no other marks and again has a great shine
Overall at least EX (to be cautious) and is a great conditioned example of this vinyl.
Labels are both clean and free from damage and wear, under strong artificial light there are a few spiders legs. The side 1 label has 2 small bits of the vinyl showing which probably happened during manufacture.
Original 1st press Laminated Flipback Sleeve has only a couple of creases to spine, very minor wear to corners and edges,. But is overall solid with a nice gloss and only a bit of ringwear, Back has one spot luckily mostly on a black area where there is a small stain. Top right states 'File under POPULAR : Male Vocal'.
White Inner Sleeve is creased and slightly worn to top edge but clean and not split.
Super rare Unique 1st press, great condition Vinyl and a must for a Barratt or Floyd fan.
I will describe any flaws such as wear to sleeves, scuffs, marks or scratches to vinyl and describe them honestly, if you expect a better condition than I have listed then you need to learn to read. I will grade based on visual inspection under artificial light, I will not listen to every LP, I will listen to the rarer ones and give a play grading. PLEASE remember this is Vinyl...even brand new vinyl can have clicks and pops...that's part of its charm...if you want perfect audio without background noise...how about CD's or MP3's?
With that said....many rarities will be listed, some fair condition some near mint.
