Syd Barrett – The Madcap Laughs, 1st UK PRESSING 1970, Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, EX/EX

This is the First UK Pressing, January 3rd 1970, quite rare! This first pressing has: Printing date 6911 (November 1969) on the back cover, in advance of 1970 release date. Green/yellow Harvest Label with no 'EMI' Logo. 'SYD BARRETT' appears just above the Harvest logo at 9 o'clock, later pressings move this higher up the label. Side 2 label has credits 'Barrett except + Joyce'. Later pressings have 'Barrett + Joyce. On the sleeve tracks B4 to B6 have a combined running time of 7:59. Please ask if you need any further identifiers. 
For the most part this album plays beautifully. There are a couple of light clicks on 'No Good Trying', 'Dark Globe' and 'Golden Hair' but they, in no way, overpower the music or spoil the enjoyment of listening to this legendary album. The vinyl is bright and clean. Original sleeve and original inner sleeve in great condition with wear commensurate with a 52 year old record. From my personal collection compiled over more than 50 years and owned by me from new. Posted packaged in professional postal mailer.
