Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs: LP, Vinyl, Harvest / EMI 1970
Keith "Syd" Barrett was an English singer, songwriter, and musician who co-founded the rock band Pink Floyd in 1965. Barrett was their original frontman and primary songwriter, becoming known for his whimsical take on psychedelia, English-accented singing, literary influences, and stream-of-consciousness writing style. As a guitarist, he was influential for his free-form playing and for employing dissonance, distortion, echo, feedback, and other studio effects.
The Madcap Laughs is the debut solo album by the English singer-songwriter Syd Barrett. It was recorded after Barrett had left Pink Floyd in April 1968. The album had a chequered recording history.
A brilliant but brittle album, with every strum of the electric guitar seeming to take its toll on Barrett's increasingly frayed nerve string. Yet in all its darkness, the Madcap Laughs holds a special lighter place in time.
This is the EMI Greek re-release from 1987 of this Harvest / EMI LP.

This record has been kept in storage in a smoke free household. It is from a large record collection, not a DJ collection, this record has never been DJed and is in generally good condition.
On Side 1, at the start of the 1st track, 'Terrapin' there is a pop jump in the third verse, then a few crackles later on. Between the 1st and 2nd tracks there are a few crackles. Then between the 2nd and 3rd tracks there are three pops.
Then on Side 2, there are some crackles and a pop in the opening bars of the 2nd track, 'Golden Hair'. Finally after the 7th track, 'Late Night' there is a pop.
There is foxing to the gatefold record sleeve and it's picture montage, from being in storage.
