Description

Sylvester Weaver holds the distinction of being the guitar accompanist on the first known blues record with guitar accompaniment. (Longing for Daddy Blues recorded 10/24/1923 - Sara Martin vocals). Two weeks later, Weaver recorded "Guitar Rag" and "Guitar Blues" which are on this album. The former was popularized by Bob Wills later. Weaver pioneered country blues bottleneck guitar.
