Description

Full-length LP from Sahara titled "Sunrise" released by Peters International (DS-50049) in 1968. Originally known as Subject ESQ and renamed Sahara after some personnel changes that included adding Out Of Focus keyboardist Hennes Hering. Side One is a uneven mix bag of pop-rock, country/folk-rock and prog-rock that feature excellent musicianship. Side Two is the prize especially for fans of epic, multi-part symphonic progressive rock suites. Lots of mood changes from atmospheric krautrock experimental moments to lush symphonic sections with lovely Mellotron swells. This is an original licensed U.S. pressing.

Labels are in NEAR MINT condition. Vinyl record is in EXCELLENT condition with nice luster and some very light sleeve blemishes. Plays with some noticeable surface crackle at beginning of sides that becomes quieter as record plays on...sounds great! Cover is in VERY GOOD+ condition with some wear at corners, edgewear, a small tear on backside slick, creasing on backside from slick being misapplied during manufacturing and there is ringwear on backside. NO RESERVE. Winner pays $4.90 media mail in the U.S. Priority mail and insurance are available at buyers expense.
