Very close to mint 6 LP box set “The Art Of Joseph Szigeti” (Columbia M6X 31513, US pressing) produced in 1972 to honor his 80th birthday. Included is an excellent 8 page illustrated booklet.
The tracklist includes major compositions for violin by Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Prokofiev plus several shorter pieces by Kreisler, Stravinsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Bartok and Bach.
All six LPs look and play very close to mint. I do not rate opened LPs as mint so I will rate these as mint minus. The booklet and box are also near mint. These tracks were taken from mint original copies provided by Angel and EMI so bidders should be aware that these were made prior to the advent of modern recording techniques and will not have the fidelity of more recent releases.
