Description
For auction an extremely rare white label TEST PRESSING copy of the T.Rex single 'Light Of Love/Explosive Mouth" made in 1974 by EMI UK for band members and industry insiders to check the sound quality before even promo copies were created. Other than the acetate this is the earliest possible copy of the record.
The famous custom blue and red T.Rex labels with the image of Marc's face have yet to be added and so the only information on the disc are the dead wax matrix numbers that read: YMarc 8 A-2 & YMarc 8 B-2. Later the letters H1 & 2 would be assigned to the approved final release.
The vinyl is in truly excellent condition, glossy, clean & shiny with just the faintest of short hairlines detectable under strong light. The labels on both sides are a bold white, no marks or writing and the disc comes in plain white sleeve as it would have done from the test pressing plant in 1974. For a disc now forty two years old this highly collectable 45 is in remarkable condition.
