Description

Takis "musicales"

Label: private press
Format: 7" EP
Country : France
Released :1973

This is the rare Takis catalogue + 7" enclosed in a beatiful cardboard box cover, released in 1973 for the Festival d'Automne, Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris, France. It's an amazing edition that comes with several inserts and sheets, texts by W. Burroughs, Pierre Restany ecc, issued in 100 copies only. Terrific suspended drone made by his sound sculptures: Takis' musical sculptures are based on the simple concept of using magnetic waves caused by electricity as a means to activate repeated musical sounds: the latter are to be heard every time a needle strikes a string, when attracted by a magnet. - an auction including rather obscure items for people into avant, experimental, sound poetry, fluxus, Broken Music, revue OU, Fernand Kriwet, Henri Chopin, Ake Hodell, Bernard Heidsieck, Gil J Wolman, Joseph Beuys, François Dufrene, sound art

Condition: excellent copy from a lucky warehouse find, unplayed
