Up for auction is this ultra rare, legendary and long out of print Who live 2-LP set entitled, "Tales From The Who" and released on the equally legendary Trademark of Quality (TMOQ) label.  This set is in VG shape (see photo scan), with a somewhat worn but otherwise gorgeous full cover front cover inked by TMOQ's artist-in-residence William Stout, as well as a back cover also drawn in a Tales From The Crypt style by Stout. Only 1,000 of these babies were reportedly printed with a deluxe color cover, according to the Hot Wacks collector's guide. Back cover has some wear and staining near the top (but whaddya expect from a 30-year-old album?) but nothing that seriously impedes Stout's images or detracts significantly from this highly collectible live Who specimen. (Our much lower-than-usual starting price for this super-scarce piece is intended to offset, and make up for, these imperfections).

This rare deluxe edition comes with two discs pressed in RED, WHITE, and BLUE colored vinyl (CV). The first LP is blue with some white splashing at edges, and the second LP is red with some white splashing at edges. Both discs are VG with some light scuffs and wear that do not affect play. All labels are pristine black and white with NO WRITING and feature the sideways pig and Trade Mark of Quality logo. The concert source is listed in Hot Wacks as the Capitol Centre, Largo, MD., December 1973 (on the band's "Quadrophenia" tour) and is presented in stereo (this concert was recorded for broadcast on the King Biscuit Flower Hour). Track list as follows: SIDE ONE: Can't Explain, Summertime Blues, My Generation, I Am The Sea. SIDE TWO: I Am One, Sea & Sand, Drowned. SIDE THREE: Bellboy, Dr. Jimmy. SIDE FOUR: Won't Get Fooled Again, Pinball Wizard, See Me, Feel Me. This is the classic Who lineup -- Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon -- in peak form.
