Description
This is the original 1983 ROBERT RAUSCHENBERG LIMITED EDITION release of the Talking Heads' LP titled Speaking In Tongues issued in artist Robert Rauschenberg's custom designed packaging with a clear vinyl LP. It is a Sire Records release, catalog number 1-23771. This original limited edition first pressing was limited to 50,000 copies.

- Original 1983 Limited Edition pressing vinyl LP in shrink with hype sticker (shrink is open on one end so plastic case can slip out for access to vinyl).
- Limited edition of 50,000. Clear vinyl.
- The packaging, designed by Robert Rauschenberg, is a transparent yellow plastic case with artwork and credits printed on three 12" circular transparent collages, one per primary color.
- Most copies originally came sealed with a round transparent sticker affixed on the sealing material, on the front at the top right hand corner.

This original 1983 first pressing Robert Rauschenberg Limited Edition LP is pressed on clear vinyl and comes complete with all three original primary color art pinwheels, packaged inside its original clear yellow plastic case, and is in its original shrinkwrap with the hype sticker (the case slides out of the shrink-wrap so you can access the vinyl). The clear yellow plastic outer case is completely intact without any cracks but it does have a few light surface marks and a little contact wear.
This RARE and striking limited edition pressing is hard to find in this condition and would make a great choice for any Talking Heads or 1980s New Wave record collection!
