My husband is a huge David Byrne fan and received this this LP - Speaking in Tongues Robert Rauschenberg Art Edition - in the 80's as a gift, along with the Stop Making Sense Limited Edition Vinyl LP with Book being offered in another auction. He didn't have the heart to tell the friend that he no longer had a turntable, so these have been stored in a dark closet since. These have not been floating around on the resale market for the last 25+ years.

As I've been listing my extra yarn and fabric, he's been inspired to let go of things on his side of the closet! If you look at my other listings, you will find my crafting supplies. As you can tell, I am not a record dealer. I would not be comfortable offering/rating these two LPs if they were not sealed. I am a small seller of personal items with a Top Rated badge because I describe my items carefully and ship same or next day.
These are ONE-TIME offers and I don't have any other vintage vinyl to sell beyond these two Talking Heads LPs.
Condition Notes - PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BIN:
- There is no grading on this LP because it's sealed and has never been out of the package.
- The cellophane seal on this has broken along the seal line over time, but has obviously not been removed.
- The hard plastic case/sleeve used to showcase the Robert Rauschenberg art has yellowed with time and there are dents along the edges (well away from the vinyl). Please check the photos for close up details of the corner with the most damage to be sure you are comfortable with the as-is condition.
- The packaging shows the effects of time, but this has not been exposed to excessive temperatures or moisture and has been carefully stored. The only wear is shop-wear from wherever his friend bought it. The package lies flat and there's no sign of any warping.
Return Policy - PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BIN:
- I follow the ebay guarantee policy and accept returns in the ORIGINAL AS-SOLD CONDITION ONLY - That means COMPLETELY SEALED, PERFECTLY FLAT & NO MARKINGS!
- The return must be requested within 14 days (as determined by the USPS tracked delivery date). Please retain your packaging and return in the original box/secure packing.
- This will be packed in a box a well padded for USPS Priority Mail. Damage during shipping should be reported to the carrier for insurance payment through the carrier.
- I will not accept this item for return if the seal has been broken, if there are marks on the exterior packaging and if the LP is warped or broken. I will report any issues of this sort to ebay for resolution. I have complete photos of the condition and packing.
- Please be respectful and only BIN if you intend to keep this wonderful collector's edition. This is not a "try and return" situation. This music and information about this edition is widely available on the internet. Please educated yourself prior to BIN.
