Description

  • Talking Heads released their debut album "Talking Heads: 77" in September 1977 on Sire Records. It took awhile before the brilliance of David Byrne's songs were widely recognized and the album barely cracked the Top 100 when it was first released. But thanks to the hit singles "Psycho Killer" and "Uh-Oh, Love Comes To Town" the album gained notoriety and is now regarded as a new wave masterpiece.

  • This copy of (SR 6036) is from the First Pressing and is in excellent condition. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is in Near-Mint condition as is the inner lyrics sleeve. Please see the pictures. The disk test plays perfectly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Joe Gastwirt at Masterdisk in NYC and this copy was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched SR-1-6036-LW1 JG W 3 and stamped MASTERDISK ?.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 44 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
