California based Tarantula was formed by ex-Wings and Spanky & Our Gang member Oz Bach.
They only recorded and released this one self-titled LP, produced by Chad Stuart of Chad & Jeremy, before disappearing into psych obscurity.
The LP has NEVER officially been re-released.
This is some AMAZING fuzzed out garage acid pysch with some very Zappa-esque moments.
A true gem for any fan of music from this era!
Condition
The record is VG+!
Still sounds and looks great!
There are 2-3 very lights marks that DO NOT affect play.
No pops, clicks, or skips!
There is some VERY mild surface noise, but it does not distract at all.
The inner labels are perfect, no damage!
The record has been stored in a polyurethane sleeve outside the jacket.
The jacket is VG.
The colors are still bright and strong!
There is some, sparse, light edge wear all around.
No splits!
There is very light ring rubbing wear to the top and bottom of the front and back, but all pictures and works are visible.
There is a darker spot to the upper right corner of the front cover from an old price sticker.
There is a small amount of residue from to the upper right of the back cover from an old owner's name sticker.
The record has been stored outside the jacket to prevent any further wear.
The original inner sleeve is VG+!
The colors are still strong and bright!
No creases or folds!
There is one small split in the center bottom that runs about 1/2".
There is a small horizontal tear to the left side that runs about 1/4".
It has a very minor ring impression.
Again, the record has been stored in a separate sleeve to prevent further wear.
All parts have been kept together in a resealing plastic sleeve.
