TARANTULA  ~  TARANTULA  ~ A&M  AML959 A1/B1  ~  1969 STEREO  U.K. 1st pressing  ~  RARE PSYCH! ~ with thanks to the internet:- Excellent Zappa influenced album from band led by Tom Grasso. Produced by Chad Stuart of Chad and Jeremy fame. Unsubstantiated rumours abound that he wanted the band to move away from the Strawberry Alarm Clock's pop-psych with something more way out and several of the song titles bear a passing resemblance to titles of songs by that band. Whatever this album has some excellent psych material. Oz Bach joined the band at the behest of A&M and his 'thoughts for Anne' is the most commercial of the offerings on the album. Would make an excellent addition to your psych album collection.  ~
