Morinis rechte Seite war ein Muster an Geschmeidigkeit, aber gleichzeitig – wenn erforderlich – fähig zu sehr energischem Spiel; ihre linke Hand war ein Wunder an Reinheit der Intonation und sie konnte damit ein so knappes Vibrato spielen, das es zu keiner Zeit das Herz des Tons verdunkelte, vielmehr einen Klang von glockenreiner Klarheit produzierte. Wer Morini spielen sah, konnte ihre Selbstvergessenheit spüren; sie schien hypnotisiert von den eigenen Klängen.

Erica Morini ist höchst erfolgreich darin, Tartinis Zielsetzungen, was Technik und Interpretation betrifft, zu vollendeter Reife zu bringen. Ihre Interpretationen sind rein, stark und von anziehender Schlichtheit, wobei ihr Pommers in kompetenter Weise sekundiert. Die Wiedergabe ist makellos, ohne jegliche Übersteuerung.

Morini’s right arm was a model of smoothness, yet it was incisive when energy was required; her left hand was a miracle of pure intonation, using a narrow vibrato that never obscured the core of the note, producing a tone of bell-like clarity. Watching Morini play, one felt that she was completely oblivious to the outside world; she seemed mesmerized by her own sounds.

Erica Morini is most successful on bringing all of Tartini’s technical and interpretative aims to fruition. Her performances are pure, strong, and affectingly simple and she is ably seconded by Pommers. The reproduction is clean without exaggeration in range.
