SELLER'S DESCRIPTION:
Here's a few reasons why this LP belongs in your audiophile collection.  The fact that it remains a long standing member of the Absolute Sound's "TAS" Super Disc list may be one.  Another may be that it's a Keith Johnson recording (whose talent to produce demonstration quality dynamics is legendary).  But for us, the biggest reason AND most intriguing aspect of this recording is best explained by the disclaimer on the album's cover.  It reads...

"In order to transfer to disc--intact--the awesome dynamic range and low frequency impact of the Keith Johnson master tape, we chose to issue the "Symphonie Fantastique" at 45 RPM, on three disc sides.  And, rather than leave the fourth side blank, we offer on Side 4 a bonus in the form of an extra copy of Side 3, which audio enthusiasts will play most often.  We realize, in releasing this recording in such no-compromise form, that few existing playback systems will be able to reproduce "March to the Scaffold" and "Dream of a Witches' Sabbath" satisfactorily at full symphonic levels.  When side 3 and 4 are first auditioned, we urge that the volume be kept low until the maximum undistorted playback level has been determined.  Reference Recordings can not be held responsible for any damage caused by overdriven amplifiers or speaker elements."

These finished pressings do generate heated discussions!  Which side has better sound on your system, "Side 3" mastered at 45 rpm or "Side  4" mastered at 33-1/3 rpm?  What we can say for sure is that this audiophile recording, with its super high fidelity dynamic sound, will give your stereo a real workout as well as provide you with countless hours of enjoyable listening.  No longer in print (OOP), rare and becoming increasingly difficult to find, my husband purchased this LP almost 20 years ago.  We added it at that time to our private collection, where it has remained in safe keeping ever since.  Ours is a stunning copy of this vinyl, and is definitely the one to play when you want to impress listeners with your stereo system!!!  If you don't own it, bid now on this near mint one..... BEFORE IT'S GONE FOR GOOD!

WE GRADE OUR VINYLS USING GOLDMINE'S VISUAL GRADING GUIDELINES AS FOLLOWS:

MINT:  Absolutely perfect in every way, unplayed or still sealed.

NEAR MINT (NM):  A nearly perfect record.  Vinyl shows no obvious signs of wear. 
LP jacket has no creases, folds, seam splits, or any other similar defects, and no cut-out holes.  Basically a NM record looks and feels new.

VERY GOOD+ (VG+):  A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled but previous owner(s) took good care of it.  Vinyl surface may have some slight signs of wear that don't affect playback.  Slight warps that do  not affect the sound are OK.  The label may show some very light wear or discoloration and the center hole will not be misshapen.

VERY GOOD (VG):  Many of the flaws in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc.  Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music.  Groove wear and light scratches will be evident.  Labels may be marred by writing, tape or stickers, same is true of the sleeve and jacket cover.

GOOD and GOOD PLUS (G and G+):  Good does not mean bad!  A record in good or good plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise and scratches.  A jacket or sleeve will have seam splits or tape, writing, ring wear or other flaws.

POOR and FAIR (P and F):  The record is cracked, badly warped and won't play without skipping or repeating.  The LP Jacket barely keeps the LP inside it.

PAYMENT
We accept payment through Paypal only.  All payments MUST be received within 7 days of auction end date, or we reserve the right to re-list or offer the item to the next highest bidder.  When payment is not received within the 7 day time frame, we must file a claim with EBay in order to receive credit for our listing fees.  Unfortunately, EBay then issues a negative strike to that buyer's account.

We package a maximum of 6 records per shipment, with NO EXCEPTIONS made.  If bidding on multiple records and combined shipping is desired, remit payment for your first purchase and simply request that we hold the shipment until further notice, as you wish to bid on additional records.  That way, we are paid, but you are also free to add as many as 5 additional records to your original purchase. We will not ship your package until instructed to do so by you. If you bid on and win another LP, the new invoice you receive will be for the cost of that newly won record only, with an additional $3.00 charge for shipping.  Our maximum 7 day payment policy insures us payment within in a timely manner.   

SHIPPING
Our LP mailers are purchased from "Sleeve City" and come with added padding to insure that EVERY package arrives in the same condition as shipped.  For UNITED STATES BUYERS we do include delivery confirmation in shipping charges; however, it is up to the winning bidder to purchase insurance in case of lost or damaged shipment, as you will not be refunded if this occurs. Please purchase the insurance option or proceed at your own risk!  INTERNATIONAL BUYERS (Canada included) will be charged insurance at a rate of USD $1.30 for every USD $100.00 worth of products.  If you want an expedited delivery service please contact us for a price.  In the event a package is returned to us for any reason other than for an addressing error on our part, the buyer will be responsible to cover the original and additional shipping costs.
