Description
Up for your consideration here is the legendary recording of Bizet's "Carmen" suite and Gounod's "Faust" ballet suite performed by the Royal Opera House Orchestra at Covent Garden under the direction of Alexander Gibson on the RCA Victrola label, catalog # VICS-1108. The LP (with 10S / 1S stampers) is NM. The cover is VG+ with a lightly pushed corner at lower right and some light bits of foxing on rear. You may be familiar with this as the outrageously rare (and expensive) LSC-2449 on the Living Stereo imprint. I generally find these Victrola pressings to be quieter (and more dynamic). I listened to a few spots on this one and it will NOT disappoint.
