Description
Taste 'On the Boards' 1970 UK original vinyl album on the Polydor orange label , catalogue number 583083 (stereo)
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side A: 583083 A//1 1 1 5 Side B: 583083 B//1 1 1 4
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides of the record have some light scratches and bag marks, clearly visible when viewed under a strong light but I cannot feel any of them. The record plays all the way through very clearly with just a little surface sound where it can be heard and an occasional soft tick. The audio is brilliant. There are no sticks, no skips, no jumps and I cannot detect any lessening of the sound quality at all.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have some light spindle lines, but no writing, no damage. This record was bought on the first day of release in England, so these are the original flat labels, NOT the later type which have a raised and rounded ridge.
The cover is the original single sleeve which is textured all over (front and back) with a fine weave. There is a tiny amount of surface rubbing and a little corner tip and edge tip rubbing and a few little indents, but it's really hard to find much fault with this cover at all.
The spine is excellent - it's quite thin from new, but fully intact and fully readable, with just a few tiny creases.
The inner sleeve is the original. It's poly-lined and fully intact, a bit feathered at the open edge, a little brown and slightly creased and it has a number '21' and the album title written in the top left corner on the front - no seam splits, no tears.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say the cover is 'excellent', the record looks 'very good+' but the audio is 'excellent'.
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a record mailing box with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
