This album was originaly released in the US in 1959 on Imperial. This is the 1st UK official release\ 1st UK pressing in the UK released in 1965 on the Liberty labels! In fact this album is very rare to find, enough so that this has been reissued on 180 gram vinyl!!   A truly awesome sounding blues album, Unbeleivable to find in this condition after 44 years! Looks and sounds barely ever played at all, on top of that is that this is a quite scarce album to ever find in any condition. The laminated cover is a collectors dream to have in their collection! Please do not underestemat thew rarety of this 45 year old album, 1st UK pressing!

T-Bone Walker (May 28, 1910 — March 16, 1975) was an American blues guitarist, singer, pianist and songwriter who was one of the most important pioneers of the electric guitar. His electric guitar solos were among the first heard on modern blues recordings!

Aaron Thibeaux Walker was born in Linden, Texas of African American and Cherokee descent. His parents, Rance Walker and Movelia Jimerson were both musicians!!.

In the early 1920s, the teenage Walker learned his craft amongst the street-strolling stringbands of Dallas. His mother and stepfather both played, and family friend Blind Lemon Jefferson sometimes joined the family for dinner. Walker was Jefferson's protégé and would guide him around town for his gigs!

In 1929, Walker made his recording debut with a single for Columbia, "Wichita Falls Blues"/"Trinity River Blues," billed as Oak Cliff T-Bone. Pianist Douglas Fernell was his musical partner for the disc. Walker married Vida Lee in 1935 and had three children with her. By the age of 26 he was working the clubs in Los Angeles' Central Avenue; sometimes as the featured singer and guitarist with Les Hite's orchestra!!!.

His distinctive sound developed in 1942 when Walker recorded "Mean Old World" for Capitol Records. Much of his output was recorded from 1946–1948 on Black & White Records, including 1947's "Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just as Bad)", with its opening lyric, "They call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad". He followed up with his "T-Bone Shuffle" and "Let Your Hair Down, Baby, Let's Have a Natural Ball"!!.

Throughout his career Walker worked with the top quality musicians, including Teddy Buckner (trumpet), Lloyd Glenn (piano), Billy Hadnott (bass), and Jack McVea (tenor sax)!!.

Following his work with Black & White, he recorded from 1950-54 for Imperial Records (backed by Dave Bartholomew). Walker's only record in the next five years was T-Bone Blues, recorded over three widely separated sessions in 1955, 1956 and 1959, and finally released by Atlantic Records in 1960!!.

By the early 1960s, Walker's career had slowed down, in spite of a hyped appearance at the American Folk Blues Festival in 1962 with Memphis Slim and Willie Dixon, among others. A few critically acclaimed albums followed, such as I Want a Little Girl. Walker recorded in his last years, 1968 - 1975, for Robin Hemingway's Jitney Jane Songs music publishing company, and he won a Grammy Award in 1971 for Good Feelin' (Polydor), produced by Hemingway. Fly Walker Airlines (Polydor) also produced by Hemingway, was released in 1973!!.

Persistent stomach woes and a 1974 stroke slowed Walker's career down to a crawl. He died of bronchial pneumonia following another stroke in March 1975, at the age of 64. Walker was interred in the Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California!!.

Walker was posthumously inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1980, and into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987!!

The Matrix

Side 1 ''LBY 3047 A-1''

Side 2 ''LBY 3047 B-1''

The Mother Stampers

Side 1. ''1'' ''R'' (Look! '1' to '1' Mother Stampers for the best audio quality available on vinyl!)

Side 2.!. ''1'' ''G'' (Look! '1' to '1' Mother Stampers for the best audio quality available on vinyl!)

The Vinyl

On initial inspection the vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable!! The vinyl retains its original glossy sheen from new and the playing looks truly superbe! AWESOME for an unbelievable 40 years old!!! On intitial inspection of the playing surface THIS RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL SHEEN FROM NEW AND LOOKS BARELY PLAYED AWESOME!  Only in very strong light could possibly any light sleeve removal marks\scuff marks be seen only. It is quite obvious to me that this 45 year old original vinyl has barely been played more than a handful of times ever in my opinion! I certainly havn't played this is in the last 25 years or more!  This plays through cristal clear and vibrant throughout with (no) signs of grooveware or that this has been overplayed WHAT SO EVER!!  STUNNING AUDIO SEPERATION!

The Audio Quality

This vinyl was played at very very loud volume on a top system using a dedicated mono cartridge!!! I can not emphisise enougth that the audio quality and the seperation is truly awesome, from my experiance having collected so many copies and variations over the years, that these very early originals produce the best audio quality available in any other format available!!Please note! Only during one place I could hear three scuff noises during one track only, probably caused by the needle been dropped at this point only! That's all! In my opinion apart from this the audio was very near perfect on my systems! Without any signs of distortion what so ever!!! !UNBELEIVABLE!!) (NO) JUMPS OR SKIPS!!! THE AUDIO IS ABSOLUTELY TOP! TOP! ON ALL FREQUENCIES!!!!  Please note! This would benefit from a constant clean before each play which would reduce any static crackle! This has been stored in a case for the best part of 25 years and build up of dirt and dust in the grooves subsequently cause static crackle! I have noted debrit that could be seen on the playing surface after play! I MUST EMPHISISE THAT THE AUDIO IS RATED AT THE VERY TOP!! CRISTAL CLEAR AND VERY VERY VIBRANT!  VERY NEAR PERFECT CRISTAL CLEAR AUDIO!!!! I would class myself as highly critical! Please look at my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right!!!!!! I would rate this audio top on all frequencies!!! very vibrant\awesome!!Audio Graded at least excellent to Excellent plus overall on my system, ! UNBELEIVABLE FOR A 415 YEAR OLD VINYL !!!!!

Points to note! I have played this vinyl at very loud volume using a top system!  I always add this disclaimer! I have given my very honest opinion on the audio quality as I heard it! Please allow for the odd very (very) light static tick\scuff noise (not) consistant throughout the audio!! Please remember this is a genuine 45 year old vinyl that would have been played on a 45 year old system!!!!!

The labels

These look very near perfect (Almost Like New) Feature the original Black Liberty labels! ''Sold In The UK.....'' text is featured on the labels (Only 1st UK press)  Amaizingly only just a handful of spider marks can only be seen angled to the light only! Barely any ware at all around the spindle hole (Unbeleivable to ever find like this after 40 years) KT Tax code is stamped on side 1 of the label, correct for this 1965 pressing! (only early press)!!

The Record Sleeve

This is the original EMI\EMITEX poly lined sleeve with just light general staining\fading with age with age and just the lightest of creasing with age only, there is some splits beginning at the edges. (Please note, the vinyl has been stored in a case seperated from the sleeve and cover for over 25 years) This is how I have always stored my records!

The Cover

This is the original 1st UK Issue\Press Laminated front Garrod & Lofthouse printed cover! Truly stunning condition (normally seen with horrible ringware and in a terrible state) This cover is awesome very near like new! Super glossy laminate free from marks or scuffs barely any creases to talk of (truly amaizing) The rear is exceptionaly clean! There are no splits or tares and no real storageware to really talk of! This cover must grade at least Excellent plus to Near Mint in my opinion!
