The complete performance. A 2 x LP set, unboxed 'Decca', ffss, No.'s SXL 2092 and SXL 2093, wide bands, grooved, 1st labels, 'Original Recording By' at 11 o'clock and contained in a gatefold sleeve in the form of a stapled 8-page booklet with ballet notes by Michael Williamson and b/w pictures.
TCHAIKOVSKY'S 'The Nutcracker' (Casse Noisette) Opus 71 in two acts.
ERNEST ANSERMET conducting L'ORCHESTRE DE LA SUISSE ROMANDE
Record 1 is in NEAR-MINT condition. Record 2 has one light 3" scuff-mark (not a scratch) across side 2 which can be seen clearly under strong electric light, which has no effect whatever on play, but because of this has to be downgraded a little. I would still classify it as an honest EXCELLENT. The internal booklet part of the gatefold is still in EXCELLENT fully stapled condition, but the sleeve cover has unfortunately sustained a nasty 4" tear at the top left front which can be seen in the pic. It has however had quite an acceptable repair. The acetate 'clarifoil' is also peeling from the back of the sleeve and there's some wear along the base edge. Both original lined inner sleeves are still NEAR-MINT.
Thanks for looking.
