Description
I have decided over the next few months to sell some of my own record collection. It is varied in its content from 60/70's Folk and Rock to Classical. Some records I have owned since new, others I have carefully selected and picked up along the way.
Whilst I have owned them, they have only ever been played on a Michell Orbe turntable, fitted with an SME V tonearm and Lyra Delos cartridge. This plays through a Tom Evans Groove phono stage, Sim Audio Moon amplification and Sonus Faber Cremona M speakers. Not only is this a revealing system, giving me an accurate assessment of all records played on it, but it has, I hope, looked after the vinyl.
I clean my records on an Okki Nokki RCM and very carefully store them in new sleeves, in a smoke free enviroment.
All records sold, will be cleaned again and play checked before dispatch.
I will grade using the Record Collector system, erring on the side of caution, happy to discuss details with any buyers.
TCHAIKOVSKY Symphony No.6 in B Minor ("PATHETIQUE")
JEAN MARTINON conducting The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
DECCA SXL 2004
This is the original Wide Band Grooved version, with a Blue and White Border on the reverse of the outer sleeve (see photo's), an Audiophiles delight...
Outer sleeve - NM-. The cover is absolutely beautiful, with no creases or wear to the spine and other edges. The colour to both front and rear is AS NEW. The only reason I could not give a Mint grade is because adjacent to the record opening, both front and back, there is a little delamination (see photo), why I dont know when there are no creases or any sign of feathering at all (possibly a fault at manufacture).
Labels - Mint. There is only one tiny, short and faint spindle line on Side 1. They are perfect.
Vinyl visualy - Both sides Mint under normal light. Even under direct sunlight it is difficult to see any faint whispy storage lines, particularly Side 2 where I cannot see anything.
Vinyl play - NM. Plays absolutely beautiful throughout. I beleive this had been played once before I bought it. It has a full and vibrant sound, wonderfully smooth, with great instrument placement and a deep presence. Considering that the opening of this record contains extremely quiet passages, its amazingly quiet, with only the minimal vinyl surface noise from new.
I am happy to offer a full refund, incl postage costs, for any record a buyer feels is not as described, if returned within 10 days.
Please do not leave any negative feedback without contacting me first, if you feel any part of my service is not as you would have wished.
