23.TEFTELLER 5,000+ Near Mint Country 78’s! No Reserve!
Here is a lot to amaze and impress you! Over 5,000 original Country 78’s from 1939 to 1956!
85% of them are NEW, Old Store stock! The remaining 15% are VG+ to Near Mint with only minor evidence of play. 95% of them are in their original sleeves! About 30-40% of them are WHITE LABEL DISC JOCKEY COPIES and many of those are pressed on vinyl for the most outstanding sound possible.
They are 95% major labels like RCA, Decca, Capitol, Coral, M-G-M, Bluebird, Columbia etc. ...but there is a lot of KING label (including many of the very early King releases) and a smattering of odd ball labels.
Most major Country artists from 1939-1956 are represented and there is every style of Country represented from Bluegrass to Western Swing to Cowboys to just plain Country. Yes, there are Hank Williams, Roy Acuff, Bob Wills, Louvin’ Brothers, Red Foley and on and on and on.
This is my lifetime accumulation of Old time Country 78’s and the vast majority came from old store stocks or radio station libraries.
I am needing the room for other things and the money to pay for Pre-War Paramount Blues 78’s so I have made the decision to just put them up and let them go...for whatever the market will bear! NO RESERVE! NO GAMES! Highest bid wins.
This is a good business opportunity for someone! These records will sell for anywhere from $3.00 to $30.00 each on an individual basis and with the condition they are in, there is little to argue about in terms of quality. Retail price for all of these is between $15,000.00 and $35,000.00 over a period of time and with the right exposure for selling them.
But I am buried in records and will not live long enough to sell them one at a time when I have 300,000 other records to sell. I have sold a few hundred from the pile over the last few years but there are 5,000+ left for someone else to sell!
Now, the “bad news”: these records weigh over 2,000 pounds so there is literally a TON of 78’s and it will take a bunch of time to pack them and the shipping costs could well exceed $1,000.00 even using the cheapest form of Ground service. Sending them overseas would be very spendy but I am not ruling that out, so foreigners can bid as long as they can be responsible to pay the shipping to get them delivered overseas.
The BEST scenario is for the winner to bring a van or heavy duty truck and come pick them up, here in Grants Pass, Oregon. I have no vehicle big enough to deliver them and no time to do so. I am open to any suggestions as to how to get them from Grants Pass, Oregon to where ever the winner is located and by whatever method the winner wishes to have me use.
Starting bid $9.99
