'SWINGIN' THE BLUES'
A superb copy of this very collectable lp on the TEMPO label which was one of three compilations of the best of the label's artists.
The details of the artists, tunes, dates etc can be seen in one of the photographs.
The all important condition for the serious collector is:
The record is E+ with no significant marks or scuffs. There are a couple of faint hairlines which produce just one or two pops in places.
There is no noticeable spindle wear.
The labels are clean except for a handwritten number '49' in ballpen on side 1.
Both sides play with that superb Tempo sound - no skips or jumps, no distortion.
The original plastic lined paper inner sleeve is present.
The very clean sleeve is E/E+ condition with a small corner crease at top front left corner and to the bottom foldbacks at each corner.
There is a 4.5cm wear with laminate loss on the top edge in the centre which is just beginning to develop as a split.
There is a very small (4mm x 1mm) laminate loss at the back centre opening edge otherwise the laminate is intact and not lifting or lost.
Overall a superb copy of this scarce and collectable piece of British Jazz History. This one is not often seen.
As a bonus, the cover picture is the young Jackie Collins - the Tempo cover girl who appears on the cover of all three of the compilations.
