Description
Ten Years After 'Cricklewood Green' UK original vinyl album, early pressing on the smaller Deram red/white label, catalogue number SML 1065 (stereo)
The numbers and letters imprinted in the 'run-off' area are:- Side 1: XZAL-9583.P-1W 7 CA JT Side 2: XZAL-9584.P-1W 1 CM JT
This is a very heavy vinyl and it is not warped. When viewed under a bright light I can see only a light scattering of very fine superficial surface scratches on both sides due to bag movement and there is nothing I can feel with light fingertip touch. The playing surfaces on both sides retain a high gloss finish and the record plays smoothly and clearly all the way through with just the bare minimum of surface sound on the non recorded and quieter sections - the audio delivery is brilliant. There are no sticks, no skips, no jumps and very little lessening of the audio quality compared to new.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have some light spindle lines - no writing, no damage.
The cover is a gatefold type, it does not have any coating or laminate. The front surface shows only minor signs of age and use with a little light rub wear. The back is similar but with a little more light surface wear which follows the outside edge of the record shape. The centre piece is almost as new showing no significant signs of wear at all.
The spine is generally excellent with just a crease line down the centre which has made it a little crinkly in places, but it remains completely and clearly readable.
The inner sleeve is the Deram stereo blue block original for this album. It remains poly-lined and in excellent condition with slight creasing and light discolouration, but no seam splits, no tears.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say that the gatefold is 'excellent', the record is visually 'excellent' and the audio is 'excellent+'
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a strong record mailing box with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
