In my ownership for about 25 years having been bought from a second-hand record shop. Has been stored in a PVC sleeve (included in sale) in a closed record cabinet. Played by me only on high-end Thorens TD 166 and Linn Sondek turntables fitted with A&R C77 and E77 cartridges

Gradings based on those of 'Record Collector' (see below for grading explanations)

Sleeve - estimated to be in near-EXCELLENT condition

Laminated with 'Clarifoil' made by British Celanese Limited, Printed in England by Clout & Baker Ltd.

Cover - Front cover laminate retains a good gloss with little scuffing, though a noticeable ring-scuff which has worn away a half-inch piece of laminate towards the bottom. A few small creases have not lifted the laminate. White background of matt back cover has some patches of grey scuffing and a light ring-scuff. LUG.139 is written in red pen at top RH corner and a three-inch line of writing has been tipp-exed out above YEARS. A few small light creases and fingernail marks

Spine - 4 light half-inch creases have lifted the laminate slightly, otherwise undamaged with negigible wear

Edges - Spots of wear on top edge and a little lifting of card on opening edge, otherwise undamaged

Corners - Light wear back to the card on all four but remain quite sharp

Inner Sleeve - esimated to be in EXCELLENT condition

Presumably the original polythene-lined white paper sleeve printed one one side. Quite creased, no tears, very clean and bright white

Disc - estimated to be in EXCELLENT condition

Anti-static pad applied before each spin though never cleaned

Played infrequently and not for many years prior to testing for this sale

No warping

Retains a bright, clean gloss

Difficult to find any fault even under strong light: no scuffing, no scratches, no fingermarks. Audibly there are no pops, crackles, jumps or sundry unwanted noises and the music sounds as good as it ever did to my ears. Overall an attractive and sturdy heavyweight disc

Labels - estimated to be in VERY GOOD+ condition

As the second scan above shows Side 1 is lightly stained by the remains of a removed label/sellotape on and above the RA of DERAM. Small indentation near centre of Side 1. Otherwise undamaged with only one light spindle markVague small spindle marks, otherwise undamaged

The writing on the back cover detracts from what is otherwise a smart example of a late '60s LP with the disc being particularly good

Like most of my ageing LPs it may benefit from professional cleaning

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
