TENPOLE TUDOR - "EDDIE, OLD BOB, DICK AND GARY - RARE ALBUM" - FIRST JAPAN PROMO PRESSING + LYRIC INSERT.


Up for grabs is this promo while label pressing on Vap Records of the debut album from Sex Pistols and Swindle collaborator Eddie Tenpole Tudor.


After the minor success of Eddie's debut single 'Real Fun' he was signed by Stiff Records for the recording of this debut album, it featured the same zany elements as the wacky WHO KILLED BAMBI and spawned the massive hit single SWORDS  OF A THOUSAND MEN, it also contained the singles WUNDERBAR and 3 BELLS IN A ROW and also featured the punk classics HEADER NOW and GO WILDER making it a really strong and storming debut.


This white label promo edition also has it's lyric insert which isn't creased but does have some corner age yellowing, there is also no Obi as promotional issues don't have one.


This was acquired from a closed independent record shop who kindly sold me their small amount of left over punk related stock.


Interestingly this has survived really well despite its advancing years, the cover is very clean and tidy with hardly any storage wear anywhere.


Also unexpected for a record of this age, the vinyl itself looks like a great example and retains a good sheen, this has been very well looked after, just a few surface hairlines is all it doesn't look like it's now over 40+ years old.


Nothing to not like about this excellent record, a VERY fine addition to any Tenpole Tudor / Sex Pistols  record collection of note.
