TERRI LYNE CARRINGTON – TLC AND FRIENDS – CEI 2705 – M-/M- - STEREO – WITH GEORGE COLEMAN

This recording was her first and made before she graduated from high school and sold through mail order. It was recorded on October 19, 1981 and it features Terri Lyne Carrington on drums, George Coleman on tenor, Kenny Barron on piano, Buster Williams on bass, and Sonny Carrington on tenor “Sonny Moon For Two”. SIDE 1: WHAT IS THIS THING CALLED LOVE; LA BONITA and SEVEN STEPS TO HEAVEN. SIDE 2: ST. THOMAS; JUST THE WAY YOU ARE and SONNY MOON FOR TWO. This is a STEREO recording.

I have graded both the LP and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is absolutely clean on both sides of the LP. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The record jacket has no sign of wear and looks as it did when it was sold by mail order. I’m placing it out due to the rarity of this particular LP.
