Los Angeles hardcore heavyweights Terror make their violent return with highly anticipated tenth studio full-length Still Suffer. Following on from 2022's Pain Into Power, the album sees the band re-enlist former guitarist and Nails frontman Todd Jones to man the boards and serve as producer yet again. While their previous outing delivered their most vicious, abrasive and direct material to date, clocking in at a severely succinct 18 minutes of almost powerviolence displays of hardcore, this latest effort seeks to avoid simply being written off as a sequel, rather opting to embrace a more traditional old school hardcore assault, complete with raw production values, thin buzzing guitars, feral breakdowns and gang chants that sound like they're coming from over your shoulder. Featuring legendary frontman Scott Vogel's blend of potent nihilism and bruised optimism, espousing a sheer refusal to bend in the face of defeat, this is ten slabs of authentic, classic, groove-laden beatdown hardcore from the best to ever do it. An unpretentious soundtrack to our dire times and a fervent reminder that we're all "still suffering".
