The third in Terry Calliers amazing trilogy for Cadet Records, I Just Can't Help Myself from 1974. This is an original US promo copy.

Another superb blend of blues, soul and jazz. I personally think every bit the equal of Occasional Rain or What Colour Is Love?

The sleeve grades VG, there is a four inch seem split on from the top opening edge, I think this could be remedied fairly easily with a little care, also on the rear sleeve there is a red pen mark by Terry's head, (see photos). I think this is either crayon or coloured pencil and could also probably be removed, not that it detracts greatly overall from the sleeve. There is also ring wear on the glossy front cover. The back is matt paper which is pasted on.

I played the record through last night in order to grade it properly, it sounds great. Visually the vinyl is very glossy with only hairline scratches which don't pop or detract from the listening experience. There is quiet surface noise but I don't think this record's ever been cleaned, or played much and the original cadet inner sleeve is just paper, so there's thirty-five years of dust in the grooves. The actual fidelity of the record is great though, sounds lovely. Overall, definitely a keeper.
