TERRY SCOTT MY BROTHER 1962 PARLOPHONE R 4976 lovely EX
On offer is an EXCELLENT [verging on EX+] condition TERRY SCOTT 45rpm entitled My Brother c/w Don't Light the Fire till after Santa's Gone as released on Parlophone 45-R 4967 in 1957.
The vinyl is in lovely EX [verging on EX+] condition: with a beautiful sheen to the disc.
The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them. The B side label has a tax stamp on it.
The record sounded nice when test played - for this auction - on my BOSE player.
The record comes housed in its original Parlophone label company sleeve.
This Terry Scott 45 always reminds me of listening to the BBC Radio in the 60s and 70s – where it was a much-requested song on Family Favourites, on Ed Stewart’s Junior Choice and the like. Despite all this radio play it didn’t make the Top 40 pop charts at all… and is hard-to-find in the lovely condition that this example is in. My brother was particularly popular in our house around Christmas time [my birthday] and the New Year [my naughty naughty Brother’s birthday].

EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.
