PRESTIGE RECORDS LP 7118 Thad Jones "AFTER HOURS" Very Rare PROMO 1st Pressing
This great album features Thad Jones-trumpet, Frank Wess-flute, tenor sax, Kenny Burrell-guitar, Mal Waldron-piano, Paul Chambers-bass, and Arthur Taylor-drums.
Authentic 1ST PRESSING~"RVG" (stamped in deadwax..both sides) (see 2nd pic). RUDY VAN GELDER Engineering . Original 1957 Release. Yellow & Black labels with "446 W. 50TH ST, N.Y.C." address on labels and back cover. Deep groove. Thick inflexible original vinyl.
This Promo Lp is stamped "PREVIEW" in red on left side of back cover. See last pic.

Strong VG+ / VG++ Vinyl. Glossy with some light scuffs
Strong VG+....no ringwear...great looking front cover, extremely legible spine, very light edgewear, one neatly taped bottom seam split and one 3" neatly taped seam split top left back cover, 2 rub marks back cover,
PLAY TESTED: This great Van Gelder 1st pressing plays strong and crisply with rich full Mono sound fidelity. There are no skips, clicks, or loud pops.The uptempo tracks play superbly..no surface noise. From time to time, you will hear some very light surface crackle in the two softer tracks found on the album. It doe not disguise the superior musicianship present.
Next day shipping. Vinyl and cover separated and placed in a 2 mil poly bag and then into a professional sturdy Lp mailer along with several cardboard inserts providing extra protection for this jazz gem.
