Description
Thad Jones-"The Magnificent" LP. 1957 Blue Note Records (Mono/BLP-1527/Deep Groove/767 Lexington Ave N.Y.C./Ear, Van Gelder, & 9M stamps both sides/Flat Edge). Rare/original/in-demand mid 50's Hard Bop LP by the great trumpeter. Cover has wear in front/back/corners/edges, writing in front/back, stamps/sticker in back, brownish staining in back, taped bottom seam, 2" seam split in upper left edge, & 3" seam split in upper right edge. Record has some hairlines/scuffs & playwear but plays well w/ some background static in the quieter moments (no skips or pops).
In the next several months, I will be listing many original 1950's & 1960's original pressing Jazz records. Blue Note, Prestige, Riverside, Jazzland, Contemporary, Pacific Jazz, Atlantic, & many other labels. They all came from a longtime collector who collected the best he could find & took care of his records. All records are cleaned w/a VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine.
