THE ACES lot of 2 rare 45s from 1963 PARLOPHONE R 5094 and 5108
The Aces were an early 1960s beat group from Hull: whose two Parlophone 45s are very hard to find these days. I bought these 2 rare 45s together as a pair at a Record Fair in Hull in the 1980s and I’ve enjoyed owning them ever since. So – I decided to sell them as a pair: because you just don’t see these 45s for sale very often and it’s been hard for me to decide to sell them – and even harder to imagine them being split up. So here they are as a pair!
On offer are two 45s as follows:
1.THE ACES rare 45rpm entitled WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW c/w THE LAST ONE as released on PARLOPHONE R 5094 in 1963.
The vinyl is VG/VG- condition. The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them. The record sounded excellent when test played - for this auction - on my BOSE player. The record comes housed in its’ original PARLOPHONE label company sleeve.
2. THE ACES 45rpm entitled I COUNT THE TEARS c/w BUT SAY IT ISN’T SO as released on PARLOPHONE R 5108 in 1964.
The vinyl is VG/VG- condition. The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them.The record sounded excellent when test played - for this auction - on my BOSE player. The record comes housed in its’ original PARLOPHONE label company sleeve.

MINT (M) THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE MARKS OR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND ANY EXTRA ITEMS SUCH AS THE LYRIC SHEET, BOOKLET OR POSTER ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION. RECORDS ADVERTISED AS SEALED OR UNPLAYED SHOULD BE MINT.
EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.
THE USE OF PLUS (+) OR MINUS (-) ALLOWS FOR ITEMS THAT FALL BETWEEN THE ABOVE GRADES.
