Description
Recently discovered in an old Scrap Book, an unused ticket for a Charity Benefit Concert by
THE ORIGINAL ANIMALS
in the CITY HALL, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
on 22nd December, 1968.
All of the original band members were on stage although they all had different careers: Eric Burdon fronted his band The New Animals Chas Chandler was the manager of Jimi Hendrix Alan Price was a solo performer with a growing TV career John Steel was a local band manager in Newcastle Hilton Valentine worked for Chas Chandler's management company
This was the first of only 3 or 4 occasions when the original line-up would get together over the next nearly 40 years.
The ticket condition is excellent: a crease down the middle, a very small tear beside the word 'Newcastle' which can only be seen very close-up and small remnants of the scrap-book page to which it has been fixed since 1969.
