Description
Up for grabs an original THE ANIMALS "Greatest Hits Live (Rip it to Shreds)" 12" vinyl LP album, 1984 release on IRS (ILP-25937) silver label, matte cardboard cover, paper inner, Dutch made, condition cover: VG+ (part ring wear), vinyl/labels: Near Mint (actual pics shown, zoom over).
Final performance of the original 1963 group in full lineup (Burdon/Price/Steel/Chandler/Valentine) Wembley Arena, Dec.31,1983 joining after separate directions in film and music, to permanently disband right after the event (reminiscent of Burdon's previous London live 1970 together with Hendrix a day before his demise).
Appearing after The Police with extended versions of their most significant RnB tracks plus "O Lucky Man" (Alan Price/from the Lindsay Anderson 1973 film) w/lyrics "when no-one can tempt you with heaven or hell you are a lucky man" as attitude statement, exit track a 7:30mins long version of "We've Got to Get Out of this Place" ('cause baby there's better life for me and you) after which Burdon left UK poverty to US 1968/universal call not to waist youth (highly contemporary with toxic workplace!), historical artefact, first press, defunct label (1990), out of print.
Postage: First class air-mail GBP 9.-
